The CEF Annual Meeting
June 6-8, 2010
San Francisco, California

The CEF Annual Meeting is the only event where senior business leaders are invited to come together across business functions to synthesize the most important actionable, best-practice insights on eco-strategy execution and green ROI. Invitees are exclusively VP and C-level executives, selected based on their ability to contribute lessons from real-world experience.

The inaugural Annual Meeting was a tremendous success. The event took place September 8-9, 2008 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, California. Two hundred executives from 75 companies with revenue totaling $2.3 trillion were in attendance. CEO Eric Schmidt chose the event to debut Google’s alternative energy plan. UNIQUE PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Execution, Not Rhetoric. CEF members will not sit through lengthy keynote speeches that extol the importance of going green or predict the future. Instead, they will participate with featured panelists in working sessions that focus on actionable, ROI-driven execution plans and practices.
  • Small Working Sessions and Roundtables. The heart of the meeting is small, off-the-record working sessions that foster full participation from all members. A small number of plenary sessions feature CEOs and thought leaders from around the world.
  • Cross-Functional Learning. Recognizing that corporate eco-success usually involves cooperation among multiple business departments and top management, CEF draws practitioners from a variety of functional areas by inviting a team of three senior executives of member organizations to participate.
  • Participant-led Agenda. The agenda and format for the CEF Annual Meeting is driven by the Leadership Council, Advisory Board and CEF members. The result is a timely, execution-oriented, "By Business, For Business" meeting for experts ready to roll up their sleeves and discuss real-world issues that matter to their success today.
  • Cross Industry Leverage. CEF members will also benefit from the participation of a diverse set of companies from various industries. Cross pollination of ideas is yet another unique aspect of the forum.
  • Table Centerpiece
  • Ongoing Commitment. The road to a sustainable corporation is a long one – and it is still under construction. CEF facilitates practical knowledge exchange among influential executives who are shaping the future of corporate eco-strategy through the Annual Meeting and research for members only.
  • Invitation Only. Invitees are all VP- and senior-level executives, selected based on their company's committed to environment as a business strategy and their ability to contribute lessons from real-world experience.
