Chief Sustainability Officer, Archer Daniels Midland
Alison Taylor is Chief Sustainability Officer for Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). In this role, she oversees the company’s global sustainability policies, programs and reporting, as well as implementation of the company’s Respect for Human Rights policy. She works closely with the ADM Board of Directors’ Committee on Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility. Prior to joining ADM in 2017, Taylor worked for Siemens Corporation, where she was Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of the Americas, responsible for driving sustainability programs and acting as a resource for sustainability initiatives across Siemens’ business sectors. Prior to joining Siemens, Ms. Taylor was Chief Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works for five years, and counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce for six years. Ms. Taylor has been a member of the U.S. delegation to United Nations conferences on Climate Change, Biodiversity, Sustainability and Ozone Layer Depletion. She was previously a partner in the law firm now known as Davis, Graham and Stubbs, LLC, where she specialized in water law, mining law and environmental law. Ms. Taylor currently serves on the boards of the The Nature Conservancy in Illinois, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago, and the Board of Visitors of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
