EVP, Chief Community Investments & Sustainability Officer, Liberty Mutual Insurance

Francis drives the integration of sustainability into Liberty Mutual’s commercial, retail and investments businesses. He also partners with colleagues to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into Liberty’s strategies and that climate resiliency is incorporated into the company’s community impact. Francis shaped Liberty’s leadership and workforce strategies for 30 years prior to becoming the company’s first CSO in 2019. He serves on the boards of Nobody’s Children and Boston Healthcare for the Homeless and chairs the investment committee of the latter. He is also a member of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship’s Professional Services Sustainability Roundtable, where he chairs the ESG Reporting Advisory Board. Francis holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bentley University and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
